The Estrella XIII Trade Token

The University of St. Hildegard

is pleased to announce that,

with the kind permission of Their Majesties Atenveldt,

a special trade token has been minted to commemorate

Estrella War XIII.

The design, hand cut by His Lordship Ian Cnulle, Guildmaster of the Monier's Guild of An Tir, is based on a coin minted during the reign of the Emperor Justinian circa 560 A.D. One outstanding characteristic of the orginal coin was a large M that rose away from the face of the coin far further than is commonly seen on period coins.

The St. Hildegard Mint is pleased that it was able to reproduce this effect, thereby bringing another, small increment of authenticity to the use of period-style tokens in the Current Middle Ages.
