Report from the Trout Lake Art Festival

My business has taken off ....

The Festival ended up being a great opportunity to make money and some great contacts. Troutlake is quite beautiful, and it was very warm all weekend. Joyce and I both got sunburned heads, and she even sunburned her knuckles while spinning.

Having her spin silk at my booth really drew a lot of attention. The majority of my newer work has been in silk, so it gave me an opportunity to show people the silk in its raw form and have them see it in its finished silk paper form after I manipulate it.

Doing one of these art festivals all weekend long is still too much for me physically at this point. I'm still having problems with my tail bone and back if I do too much.

I am planning on doing a few Hood River Saturday markets before the season is over though, and I'm already obligated to do the Mt. Hood Railroad Blossom festival. Things are really going well.
